This film out in March 2018 is important. It is the first film directed by a woman of colour, Ava DuVernay, with a budget of over $100million. In case that was not enough, it has as its protagonist an intelligent young woman. Even more reason? The cast of supporting actresses includes Oprah, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling.
